I had class in the morning and had a few hours for lunch before going to my internship module in Central. I brought Elizabeth's photography tripod to shoot some video and photos of the night in London after class. Christine joined me in walking around South Bank. I love that part of the city at night. It's so peaceful even though there are so many people around. It's the part of the city where Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and the London Eye are located. I love just walking alongside the water. I shot a lot of video; the goal is to make a short video with a bunch of different clips from the semester of places around London. We'll see how that goes. I tried to take some night photos with my camera, but it didn't fit on the tripod correctly so it didn't work out too well. Here's my attempts...
Terrible attempt at the London Eye....the tripod was too small for the camera and it was just 'swaying' in the wind so it made the photos quite blurry.
Tower Bridge. It's a bit of a ways from the London Eye but the walk was really nice.

I didn't do much on this Wednesday, a pretty tiring last couple of weeks from traveling. I worked all day and continued researching Olympic sponsors. After work I just came home, ate dinner and relaxed.

DesignComm is on Wednesday and this week for class I left a couple hours early (in America, I would never do that, but the classes are structured so much differently, it's acceptable here). We have a 6 hour studio class and I decided it would be much better use of my time if I shot some photos for my final project that is due at the end of the semester. Now, I don't know if I'm going to use this idea, but here was one of my original thoughts on this project: I wanted to do something with the tube and what images I associate with it on the way into Central. I ride it everyday and there are some things that instinctively tell me where I am and how I am from the next stop or my final destination. Below is some of the pictures I took on this day. In total, I took 136 photos so I don't think it's necessary to post ALL of them.
I really liked doing this. Since I do spend so much time on the tube, it was kind of cool to document it. I wasn't taking a lot of time taking the photos, more of a quick snap because that's how I see everything. It goes by so fast outside you can't really focus on it. I also got to actually see what was going on around me because usually when I am on the train, I'm reading or just anxiously waiting to get off instead of observing.
