Camden Markets and Tower Bridge

Yesterday my friends and I explored Camden Markets. Several markets and street shops make up this part of town. Shops sell everything from knock-off high fashion clothing, to fake designer sunglasses, to clocks, to home decor, to handmade jewelry. I bought a dress, some photographs of the city and a pair of earrings. There are a bunch of exotic food stands as well. We had the ever-so exotic Mexican stand, chicken burrito in a styrafoam box. It was quite delicious though!  Below is some photos of Camden Markets.

After walking through the markets for several hours we sat on a bench outside a "fish massage" booth. My buddies, Christine, Daniel, Nicole and Rachel had already left and headed back to their flats. Elizabeth and I were still ready to explore a bit more. We took a break on a bench outside this peculiar bench. Basically, you pay money to soak your feet in this tank of water and a certain type of fish. This fish nibble at your feet and it's supposed to feel like a massage. Sooo weird. Sooo gross. Ewwww. Of course, we took pictures of this.

After the brief rester, we jumped on the tube (tube=subway system, by the way) and rode it to the London Bridge exit. Most people assume that the famous drawbridge in London is called the "London Bridge."  It's actually called the Tower Bridge and it is absolutely beautiful. Completely breathtaking. Elizabeth had a photo shoot in front of the bridge. We figure we need to get the ultra-touristy stuff finished before we can actually live like a Londoner. We probably took about 30 photos. Wayyy too many. Here are just a couple of this gorgeous area.

Today (Tuesday) I adjusted my schedule. I am registered for Design as Communication (an upper level graphic design class), Intro to Tourism Planning and Intro to Branding. I am also doing an internship for about 20 hours per week. We have to take a module for that, too. I have a meeting with the company, "Think London" that I will be interning for on Thursday.

  1. The leather jacket looks fabulous! So glad you bought it. The massage fish tank sounds so bizarre. You totally should have done it though!
