Right now I am sitting in the lobby of a hotel in New York City. Mom and I took a few days to travel and see the city before my real adventure begins. I forgot how much I loved NYC and traveling in general until I was here. I just said goodbye to Mom which was pretty hard, but it's not like we didn't expect it. My taxi should be here in the next 15 minutes. Then I will be on my way to Newark. My flight leaves at about 9pm, I'll be in the airport all night so hopefully I can add some pictures of our New York trip so you all can see. I should arrive at Heathrow Airport just outside London, England about 9am London time. About 4am Indiana time.
During our stay in NYC Mom and I visited Times Square, Central Park, Ground Zero, Serendipity, The Museum of Modern Art (we saw Van Gogh's "Starry Night," I freaked out when we saw it....Very cool!), Crumbs Bakery (yummm!), Alice's Tea Cup (lunch restaurant near Central Park). We also saw a broadway show, "Next to Normal." The music was fantastic! So beautiful! It was a very full couple of days. I also showed Mom how the subway works. I was a bit nervous at first because any time I have navigated the subway I was usually just a follwer. This time I had to be in charge because if we got lost, you know Mom wouldn't have the slightest clue how to get us back. I was actually a little impressed with myself because we didn't get lost once. The NYC subway was much less confusing than European subways (probably because it is actually in English!)
That's all for now. I'll get NYC pictures up asap. I'll be in London before sunrise tomorrow! :) :)
