Volunterring, Internship and Boat Party. London is Awesome.

This one is going to be a bit short because I'm meeting my friend Christine in a few minutes to check out the Design Museum downtown. So excited! Most museums are free in London which is even better!

A couple nights ago, Christine, myself and my friend Mark volunteered for RockCorp and earned free tickets to see Taio Cruz and other UK pop artists live in concert. It's tomorrow night at Royal Albert Hall. I'm so pumped! I actually looked up Taio Cruz conerts before I got here and it's even better that I am going for free! We painted a fence in a run down park for four hours and got the tickets.

This morning I had my interview at Think London. It's a direct investment agency funded by the government. Basically, they work with companies from around the world and help them start offices in London. It brings commerce, jobs and money to London. They have an enormous campaign for the 2012 Olympics which I will be helping with. Just talking with Lucette today got me so excited to start! My first official day will be Monday. The other intern is from NY. She seemed VERY nervous at the interview today, so that somehow made me feel better. Like she was nervous enough for the both of us. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not, but that's how it happened. More details to come.

Tonight, I'm going to a Boat Party on the River Thames. The river runs right next to Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Millenium Bridge, Tower Bridge, Globe Theatre, London Eye, etc. It's going to be amazing views! I'm excited!

That's it for now! Sightseein all day tomorrow! Elizabeth, Christine and I are trying to hit up Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Millenium Bridge, Harrod's Deptartment Store (very famous in London) and Houses of Parliament for tours tomorrow! Pictures to come!

  1. Lauren ciao! You will enjoy Albert Hall, try to arrive a bit early so you can have a good look around the place,it is really cool. Sounds like tomorrow you guys will be hitting some of the hot-spots of 'ol london town. When you get to the Tower of London, try to tag along with a group that has an offical tour guide cause you will learn a lot more than you would on your own. While there don't forget to check out the royal jewels down in the dungeon. You'll see a lot of crows on the grounds, their wings have been clipped so they can't fly off, it sort of "creeps you out". Have fun! ciao Denny
